As a holiday destination on Kate Bennell’s wish list for many years, Austria certainly lived up to her expectations when she visited the picturesque location in 2013.

Kate, who is visually impaired and uses a white stick, traveled to Salzburg, Austria with her family and relatives to enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountains and waterfalls. Part of her itinerary included visiting the various towns in Salzburg and watching her family ski up on the mountains. She also took a couple of cable car rides through the Hahnekamm Mountain and up the Konigsleiten ski resort respectively, witnessing the magnificent views of the surrounding scenery. People also helped Kate board and alight the cable car, and the overall experience of these rides made them her favourite trips during her stay in Salzburg. The streets of Austria were also clean and easily to navigate around.

“There was not a cracked surface to be found and no potholes in any of the roads. It all enabled me to wander freely without using my white cane or hanging onto someone’s arm.”

The pleasant experiences and wonderful views Kate had in Austria make it no surprise that she plans to revisit the Alps again in the future.

If you enjoy scenic views of nature and mountains, why not consider Austria for your next vacation spot?
