How did you find out about Ablethrive.com and #ThriveWorldwide?
Social media, I am also looking for ways to connect and network with our Disabled community especially internationally. The Commonwealth of the Bahamas is still in the first stages of forming sustainable programs, resources, and infrastructure for Inclusive living.
If this isn’t your first meetup, what brings you back to this campaign to participate again?
Our first meeting was in 2018 and it was such an exciting time, as we joined other countries worldwide during the international day for persons living with disabilities. We intend to continue this annual as long as AbleThrive will have us. It is a great way for Disability Organizations to provide awareness and tangible representation for increasing participation and community.
Why did you decide to be a #ThriveWorldWide host?
The need to see more representation of ourselves around the world. It is important to connect our communities globally.
Which partner organization are you representing? (If applicable)
Erin Brown Connects, Mollitium, Bahamas Disability Adventures, Bahamas National Council For Disability, Bahamas Alliance for Blind and Visually Impaired, Disabled Persons Organization
What does it mean to live life to the fullest?
'live life to the fullest' means to BE YOU AUTHENTICALLY! You are the creator of how you will respond to life's journey. Success is determined by you and you alone.
