“Life isn’t over…You have a life ahead of you,” Kris Cichowski from the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago shares as her best advice for the early days of dealing with a spinal cord impairment or paralysis. There is a steep learning curve and it will be a lifelong companion, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be fulfilling.

“The road ahead will bring you places you never dreamt, and to be with people you never imagined to be with."
