“Right now what I feel is my greatest accomplishment is being able to be so comfortable with the person I am today. It was a real journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.”

It took a while for Theresa, a Paralympian from Singapore, to be where she is today—it’s not something that can be done overnight. The journey was definitely not smooth sailing, but through that tough trial, Theresa has managed to learn more about herself and how to manage her disability. “Learning what my disability came with…I know how to deal with everything to live a really independent life,” says Theresa.

Being comfortable with who she is, has made her less worried about going out and about people. She has also learned how to adapt to her surroundings and lead the life she wants to live.

Share this post with someone who would benefit from Theresa’s journey of being comfortable with herself.
