If you’re going to the beach this summer and want to experience the beauty of the ocean, snorkeling might be an activity for you to try. Joseph Visaggi demonstrates how he is able to go snorkeling as a paraplegic.

To get in the water, Joseph uses his arm muscles to lift his body over the edge of the boat to sit on the side of it. Sitting on the side of the boat, Joseph falls in the water head first wearing a life jacket and goggles with a snorkel in his mouth. Joseph swims in the water by moving his arms back and forth.

Joseph says he saw some amazing things under the water and even got to pet a shark!
